A Fremont man said Tuesday he was ready to return to Mexico, prior to being sentenced in Dodge County Court.
Juan Rivera-Roble, 26, was sentenced to serve 30 days in the Dodge County Jail, fined $400 plus costs and his driver's license was suspended for six months for driving while intoxicated-first offense. He also was sentenced to serve 30 days in jail for resisting arrest and criminal mischief.
Sentences will be served concurrently, said Dodge County Judge Daniel Beckwith.
"I just want to be deported back to my country, Mexico. I do not want to be here any more," Rivera said after pleading guilty to the charges.
Immigration officials have asked that Rivera be held for them.
"I assume INS will be coming soon and you will be returned to your home country," Beckwith said.
