Area farmers have a new option when it comes to purchasing fertilizer for their crops.

Tech Partners LLC recently became an agricultural chemical supplier. The company, located at 3380 N. Carlstrom Drive in Fremont, has sold corn and soybean seed for about 1 1/2 years.

“Now we sell and supply ag chemicals for local farmers,” said Randy Fujan, sales manager. “It’s new, but we’re doing well.”

The company supplies farmers in a 20-mile radius including Dodge, Saunders and Washington counties. Free delivery is available for large orders.

“There’s about 400 chemicals we have access to,” Fujan said. “We can’t hold everything in stock, but we keep the main ones on hand. We can have other chemicals in about two days.”

Even hard-to-get chemicals can be purchased at Tech Partners because of the purchasing power of Creston Fertilizer.

“Authority First is tough to get, but we’ve got some,” he said.

While chemical sales started recently, Tech Partners also sells and is a regional warehouse for Midwest Seed Corn Genetics Company.

“Midwest has a great line of corn and soybean hybrids,” Fujan said. “It’s the fastest growing seed company in the country.”

He said Tech Partners sells about 12,000 bags of corn a year and about double that amount in soybeans.

“In the last two weeks, we’ve probably shipped out 15 semi loads of seed,” Fujan said. “The chemical sales are going to grow. We hope to double our chemical sales by next year.”

The company has three sales people for seeds and Fujan for chemicals. Fujan knows the trade because he said he has farmed all his life and still farms. He said all of the

salespeople are knowledgeable and can answer most questions.

“We can help you out with seed or chemicals,” Fujan said. “We’ve got the connections to get a lot of stuff.”

As the Fremont Branch of Creston Fertilizer, he said Tech Partners has the buying power behind it to be able to offer good prices.

“Our prices are probably some of the best around. Nobody can really beat us because of our buying power,” Fujan said. “The name of the game is passing the savings on to the farmers.”
