Fremont is the victim of a mass invasion. Hordes of little green eaters are infesting every weed patch, garden, alfalfa field and corn field in and around the city; the grasshoppers have come. Large scale nibbling was mounting Monday as the little monsters stripped every available green leaf in sight. It was impossible to even walk through front lawns without squashing a few with every step.
