LETTER: Larsen would be good on Metro board

On May 13, Fremont voters and the voters of Dodge County have a chance to help place a Fremont resident on the Metropolitan Community College board. That candidate is Roger Larsen. Roger has dedicated his whole adult life to education. Roger and his wife Eileen have both been well respected long-time teachers in Fremont.

With the turmoil the Metro board has worked under this past year or so, Roger will be the "calming effect" that the board needs. Roger also has excellent ideas to bring to the board. One of Roger’s ideas that he expressed at the public forum on the Midland campus was working to establish relationships between Metro and businesses in the immediate area.

With Metro’s presence in Fremont, having Roger on the Metro board will prove invaluable to the Fremont/Dodge County area.

As a parent, a long-time educator, and a Fremont taxpayer, Roger Larsen will represent the Fremont/Dodge County area in an ideal manner.

On May 13, my vote for Metropolitan Community College board will be Roger Larsen. I hope yours will be also.
