NBC girls win district track and field meet

North Bend’s girls won the C-4 district track meet Thursday in David City with a team score of 140 points.

Sam Renter won the long jump (16-0 1/2) and triple jump (34-10 1/2), Deanna Dirkschneider won the shot put (40-2 1/2), Megan Jensen won the discus (129-4), Cassie Schutt won the 22 meter dash (27.10). The 1,600 meter relay of Kelly Baumert, Samantha Kreikemeier, Renter and Schutt won in 4:17.50.

North Bend’s boys finished 3rd as a team with 72 points.

Colby Dolezal was a dual winner taking first in the 110 high hurdles with a time of 15.10 and the 300 intermediate hurdles with a time of 40.70. Ethan Bauer added a win in the triple jump with a distance of 43-5 1/2.
