Knights’ girls claim title

WISNER -- Oakland-Craig’s girls won the C-5 district track and field meet Thursday with 113 points.

Allison Hoden won the 1,600 meter run in 5:48.10 – barely beating teammate Carrie King who finished in 5:48.20. King then won the 3,200 meter run in 12:27.90.

The 3,200 meter relay of Julie Helzer, Brooke Johnson, Hoden and King took first with a time of 10:11.50.

Oakland-Craig’s boys took sixth with 49 points.

James Droescher was the lone first-place winner clearing 12-6 1/2 in the pole vault.

West Point Central Catholic’s girls placed third with 93 points.
