Man appears in court after 16 years

If you skip out on your court hearing, it will eventually catch up to you.

David Prewitt, 53, of Unionville, Mo., found that out when he was recently arrested on a 1992 failure to appear warrant.

On Monday in Dodge County Court, he pleaded guilty to failure to appear, a Class II misdemeanor, and reckless driving, a Class III misdemeanor.

Prewitt was fined $400.

Other cases heard Monday in Dodge County Court included:

n Jeremy T. Sanchez, 22, of Fremont pleaded guilty to domestic assault and second-degree false imprisonment, Class I misdemeanors. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and sentencing set for June 24.
