“Working With or Against God in Creation” will be the sermon for the 8:30 a.m. worship at Redeemer Lutheran of Hooper. Senior recognition will be at the 10:15 a.m. service.
This past month, preschoolers have enjoyed hosting the Spring Guest Appreciation Tea, hearing safety officers speak on summer safety; enjoyed the 94 Rock Car, the Hooper Bank, a bowling trip to 30 Bowl and a farm trip to Scribner and the Scribner Bank.
The last two days of preschool -- Tuesday and Wednesday -- are “Aloha Days.” Children will be saying aloha, asta la vista, vaya con dios, sayanara, adieu, auf wiedersehen and good-bye while they enjoy beach games, relays and Jell-O fish. They’ll create shakers, drums and/or ukuleles for the aloha party.
Next fall, preschoolers will enjoy having their individual curriculum workbooks to discover letters and numbers, mazes and penmanship along with their Bible stories, songs and prayers. The final short program is 6 p.m. Thursday at Hooper City Park (or at Redeemer, depending on the weather).
Their songs will be a tribute to Memorial Day and they’ve created red poppy flowers and posters to share with community members.
