Man cited for gas driveoff

If the station has a surveillance system, you will be caught if you don’t pay for gas.

A Fremont man found that out Sunday afternoon.

Leocadia Salas, 57, was cited for theft by exercising control, a Class III misdemeanor.

Lt. Jeff Elliott said officers were called at 5:50 p.m. to the Brady’s gas station,

450 S. Broad St., where Salas is accused of leaving without paying for $18 in gas. Officers viewed the surveillance tape and tracked Salas down by his license plate.
