A man on a bicycle was arrested early this morning when officers found methamphetamine and marijuana on him, Fremont Police said.
Brian J. McGuire, 39, of Fremont was charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, a Class II felony; no drug tax stamp, a Class I misdemeanor; possession of marijuana-less than an ounce, a Class III misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class V misdemeanor.
Lt. Glen Still said McGuire was stopped by officers at 1:27 a.m. while riding a bicycle in a residential area near 15th and D streets. When officers had contact with McGuire, he admitted to having marijuana on him.
Still said during a search, officers found the marijuana, two plastic bags with a white powdery substance and one with a white crystal substance, a digital scale and a large amount of cash. The powdery substances field tested positive for methamphetamine.
As of press time, McGuire remained in the Dodge County Jail. Bond had yet to have been set and no future court dates were available.
