Diamondbacks set to face Yutan

SCRIBNER – The Dodge Diamondbacks and Yutan Pilots were winners Thursday night at the Dodge County Fair Baseball Tournament.

Tim Champ struck out 16 as Dodge defeated Leigh 9-0. JJ Stecher hit a three-run homer in the third inning to lift Dodge.

Adam Kreikemeier, Dave Brabec, Lucas McCain, Derek Kampschenider, Brandon Grahleer and Stecher had two hits apiece for Dodge.

Cole Fischer and Wade Perry led Leigh with two hits each. Max Greve took the loss.

In the second game, Peyton Lewis had three hits and three RBIs for Yutan. Tristan Trost added two hits.

John Ahrens had a two-run single and struck out seven for West Point.

Dustin Kosha got the win. He struck out 15.

Dodge will face Yutan at 4:30 Saturday afternoon
