Betty Pieper

A celebration of the life of Betty Pieper, 52, of Dodge will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dodge.

She died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

She was born Jan. 24, 1956, in West Point to Francis and Margaret (Stalp) Heimann. She attended St. Leo’s Catholic Grade School in Snyder and graduated from Dodge High School in 1974. She was a graduate of the College of St. Mary’s and was currently a registered nurse at Dodge Family Care.

She married Dave Pieper on April 23, 1977, in Snyder.

She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Altar Society, Christian Mothers, and was a P.R.E. Teacher.

Survivors include: her husband; her children, Cindy (and husband, Lee) Reichmuth, Brian (and wife, Jaime) Pieper and Cindy Pieper, all of Omaha, Emily Pieper of Lincoln and Chris Pieper of Dodge; her parents, Francis and Margaret Heimann of West Point; and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 2:30-8 p.m. today at the church with an Altar Society and Christian Mothers rosary at 3 p.m. and a public wake service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Humlicek Funeral Home in Dodge is in charge of arrangements.

Pieper Family, I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. Betty was a very sweet & caring nurse. I used to work at the Hooper Clinic, & would sometimes work at Dodge Clinic. She will be missed by many! Deepest sympathies! Laurie Wobken

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Betty's passing. I worked with her in the clinics in Dodge and North Bend some time ago. She was a sensative and kind caregiver and a good co-worker.
