A Fremont man accused of having narcotic pills in his shoe when arrested on warrants pleaded to the charge Monday in Dodge County District Court.

Shaun Hudson, 32, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance-alprazolam, a Class IV felony.

He has been tentatively accepted into the drug court program and will be bonded into the program Oct. 6.

Hudson was arrested Aug. 14 on a failure to appear warrant from Saunders County. When he was being booked into the Dodge County Jail, a jail employee found two blue pills in his right shoe. Hudson initially said they were his pills and he had a prescription, but they ended up being from his wife’s prescription.

Other cases heard Monday included:

* Andrew Christensen, 19, of Fremont had his arraignment continued until Oct. 20 so he could complete application to Dodge County drug court. He is charged with theft by shoplifting-third offense, a Class IV felony, and first-degree criminal trespass, a Class I misdemeanor.
