A longtime Logan View school board member has lost her bid for re-election.
Kimberly Liston was the fifth-highest vote getter among the six people running for the Logan View school board. Only four seats were available.
Marie VonSeggern collected more vote than anyone in the race with 885, unofficial results from the county clerk’s offices in Burt, Cuming, Dodge and Washington counties stated.
Carrie Beacom was second with 789 votes, Nick Janssen was third with 768 and Jeff Wacker was fourth with
710 votes.
Liston received 697 votes and Ted Mallette had 679.
In other contested Dodge County races:
n North Bend: Kevin Ferguson was re-elected to the city council with 416 votes. Write-in challenger Jeff Kluthe won the other available seat with 193 votes. Other write-in candidates included Mike Williams, who had 108 votes, and Henry Rahlfs, who had 25 votes. Voters also rejected an ordinance that would have prohibited putting fluoride in the city’s water.
n Scribner: Carl Stockamp and Arnold Gebers have been elected to the city council. Stockamp received 310 votes and Gebers had 300 votes. Opponent Glenn Herbolsheimer received 88 votes.
n Hooper: Michelle Fauss and Kenneth Mueller won seats on the city council, beating Bruce Cate. Mueller had 296 votes, Fauss 224 and Cate 160. Larry Klahn was unopposed in his bid for mayor. Residents also approved a ballot measure that will allow keno. There were 293 votes for it and 107 against.
n Dodge: Allen Bayer, Thomas Novicki and Gene Dostal were the top vote getters for seats on the village board. Bayer had 195 votes, Novicki had 182 votes and Dostal had 154 votes. Ben Burton had 146 votes in an unsuccessful bid for the board.
n Snyder: David Heywood was the top vote getter in a four-way race for the three seats on the village board. Heywood received 107 votes. Bill Kreikemeier with 94 votes and George Snell Jr. with 87 votes also won seats on the board. Beth Schneider had 49 votes in her unsuccessful bid.
n Voter turnout: Dodge County Clerk Fred Mytty, who is also the election commissioner, reported 71.8 percent of the county’s registered voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s election.
