Hooper foundation nears meeting challenge grant

The Hooper Area Community Foundation is close to meeting a challenge from another foundation.

Hooper’s foundation is less than $1,000 away from meeting a

$5,000 challenge grant from the Fremont Area Community Foundation. The money will go toward the endowment fund.

Once Hooper’s goal is met, it will use interest earned on the endowment to fund community projects and organizations with the goal of bettering the community.

Recent donors include: Lloyd Otteman, Delbert and Judy Larson, Jason and Lariane Polk, Ralph and Rochelle Martin, Gallant Law Office, Anderson Heavy Equipment, Don Hart and Frances Meyer, Tom and Bev Milligan, Chad and Dawn Christianson, Dostal Plumbing and Heating, WesTel Systems, Hooper Storage, Kenneth and Bernice Thernes, Ben Schole, Willis and Janice Bopp, Ron and Jane Stockfleth, Quentin Marquardt, Hooper Funeral Chapel, KDM Sales, Inc., Gene and MaryAnn Tonjes, Swanson Insurance/Real Estate Inc., Matt and Brooke Thoene, Porkview Farm Inc., David and Glenda Hingst, Redeemer Lutheran Church Men, Joel and Nancy Schroeder, Marty and Tami Clausen along with several anonymous donors.
