Man charged with strangulation

A Blair man was arrested Tuesday after being accused of strangling a woman in Arlington, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Jason Knutson, 22, was charged with strangulation, a Class IV felony, and domestic assault, a Class I misdemeanor.

Chief Deputy Ben Scherer said deputies were called at 7:40 a.m. to the 700 block of E. Elm Street where Knutson was accused of strangling the woman. Knutson was not there at the time but was arrested in Blair with the help of the Blair Police Department.
