Students initiated into honor society

Sixteen University of Nebraska-Lincoln students were initiated Dec. 8 into membership in Phi Beta Kappa.

Phi Beta Kappa is the nation’s oldest academic honor society, recognizing and encouraging a commitment to excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. The students who received Phi Beta Kappa keys are from the August and December graduating classes.

The following area students are new members:

n Hooper: Candace Ross, English, daughter of Steve Ross of Stephenville, Texas, and Nicael Reinhardt of Manhattan, Kan.

n Tekamah: Margaret Goll, history and English, daughter of Charles and Nora Goll.
