A Fremont man accused of a rash of vandalisms was sentenced to prison Tuesday in Dodge County Court.
Andrew Craig, 20, was sentenced to one year in prison for two counts of criminal mischief, Class I misdemeanors. He also was ordered to pay $823 in restitution.
“He’s not a candidate for probation,” said Deputy Dodge County Attorney Mark Boyer. “He’s had multiple past probations revoked.”
Boyer asked for two concurrent one-year sentences and that is what Judge Kenneth Vampola ordered as Craig’s sentence.
Other cases heard Tuesday in Dodge County Court included (unless otherwise noted, an additional $44 in court costs is added to fines and jail sentences):
* Heather Adams, 18, of Fremont pleaded guilty to driving under the influence-first offense greater than
.15 percent blood alcohol content, a Class W misdemeanor. She was sentenced to seven days in jail, fined $400 and her driver’s license was revoked for one year.
* Briauna Almuhaimin, 24, of Omaha was fined $75 for driving under suspension, a Class III misdemeanor.
* Denise Armijo, 48, of Cedar Bluffs pleaded guilty to false reporting, a Class I misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana-less than an ounce, an infraction. She was fined $400.
* Cindie Bautista, 30, of Fremont was bound over to Dodge County District court for a Jan. 26 arraignment after a preliminary hearing. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, a Class IV felony.
* Ernest Brodecky, 19, of Howells pleaded guilty to writing an insufficient funds check, a Class II misdemeanor. He was fined
$100 and ordered to pay
$25 in restitution.
* Brad Holtorf was appointed to represent Calvin Brown, 38, of Fremont and his arraignment for DUI-second offense and driving under suspension was continued until Jan. 27.
* Mike Wiseman was appointed to represent Timothy Corn, 26, of Fremont and arraignment for DUI-second offense greater than .15 percent blood alcohol content, a
Class I misdemeanor, was continued until Jan. 13.
* Christopher Dooley, 19, of Scribner pleaded guilty to no proof of insurance, a Class II misdemeanor, and no operator’s license and no valid registration, Class III misdemeanors. He was fined $125.
* Zachary Douglas, 26, of Fremont had his arraignment for third-degree assault, a Class I misdemeanor, and criminal mischief, a Class III misdemeanor, continued until Jan. 27.
* Kayla Ewing, 20, of Fremont pleaded guilty to minor in possession, a Class III misdemeanor. She was fined $250.
* Casey Greser, 20, of Fremont pleaded guilty to theft by shoplifting, a Class II misdemeanor. He was fined $150
* Jeffrey Guern, 47, of Fremont pleaded guilty to domestic assault, a Class I misdemeanor. He was fined $400.
* Brian Gunderson, 22, of Fremont pleaded guilty to theft by shoplifting, a Class II misdemeanor. He was fined $150 and ordered to pay $40 in restitution.
* Richard Haase, 22, of Fremont pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana-less than an ounce. In exchange for his plea, a charge of expired in-transit license plates, a Class III misdemeanor, was dismissed. He was fined $300.
* James Hartung, 54, of Nickerson pleaded guilty to no proof of insurance. He was fined $75.
* Ronald Helget, 33, of Fremont pleaded guilty to no proof of insurance and speeding. He was fined $200.
* Lori Hirbe, 43, of Cedar Bluffs pleaded guilty to false information, a Class I misdemeanor, and driving under suspension and littering, Class III misdemeanors. Sentencing was set for Feb. 10.
* Nick Boggy was appointed to represent Dustin Holstein, 25, of Fremont and arraignment for DUI-third offense was continued until Jan. 13.
* Patrick Howley, 36, of Fremont pleaded guilty to theft by shoplifting, a Class II misdemeanor. He was fined $150.
* Timothy Hulett, 18, of Fremont was sentenced to one year of probation for three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Class I misdemeanors. As part of that probation, he must complete an appropriate decision making class and 120 hours of community service.
* A Jan. 29 preliminary hearing was set for K.C. Hull, 29, of Lincoln. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, a Class IV felony His bond was reduced to 10 percent of $20,000 from 10 percent of $30,000.
* Robert Imus, 37, of Fremont pleaded guilty to domestic assault. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail.
* Shayla Jasper, 18, of Fremont pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal trespass, a Class II misdemeanor. She was sentenced to five days in jail and given credit for time served.
* Scott Jernigan, 40, of Scribner was sentenced to
48 hours in jail and one year of probation for flight to avoid arrest, a Class I misdemeanor. As part of that probation, he must complete an appropriate decision making class and 12 hours of community service. His driver’s license also was suspended for one year.
* Gregory Jones, 43, of Fremont waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Dodge County District Court for a Jan. 12 arraignment. He is charged with unlawful distribution of a financial transaction device and second-degree forgery, Class IV felonies, and a habitual criminal enhancement.
* Scott Kingsley, 27, of Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted writing a check on a closed account, a Class I misdemeanor. He was sentenced to five months in jail and ordered to pay $535 in restitution.
* Matthew Kitzman, 34, of Omaha pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and speeding. He was fined $200.
* Marshall Lawson, 25, of Cedar Bluffs pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. Sentencing was set for
Jan. 27.
* Robert Manchester, 54, of Omaha pleaded guilty to DUI-first offense. He was sentenced to six months of probation and fined $400. As part of his probation, he must attend a defensive driving class, a victim’s impact panel and a chemical education class. He also must perform 60 hours of community service and his driver’s license was revoked for 60 days.
* Leta Fornoff was appointed to represent Brett Miller, 21, of Omaha and arraignment for DUI-second offense greater than .15 percent blood alcohol content and no proof of insurance was continued until Jan. 13.
* Calvin McDaniel, 59, of Fremont pleaded guilty to no proof of insurance and speeding. He was fined $100.
* Adam Misfeldt, 28, of Arlington admitted a motion to revoke his probation for DUI-first offense. He was unsatisfactorily released from probation.
* Colby Morton, 22, of Fremont was fined $100 for driving under suspension and no proof of registration.
* Shannon Peterson, 50, of Fremont pleaded guilty to driving under suspension. He was fined $75.
* Brian Pospisil, 20, of Fremont pleaded guilty to DUI-first offense. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, fined $400 and his driver’s license was revoked for six months.
* Michael Purnell, 43, of Fremont was sentenced to six months of probation and fined $400 for DUI-first offense. As part of his probation, he must attend a defensive driving class, a victim’s impact panel and a chemical education class. He also must perform 60 hours of community service and his driver’s license was revoked for 60 days.
* Israel Saravia, 22, of Fremont pleaded guilty to DUI-second offense and driving under suspension, a Class III misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation and chemical evaluation were ordered and sentencing was set for Feb. 10.
* John Schlater, 23, of Lincoln pleaded guilty to DUI-first offense and driving under suspension. He was sentenced to seven days in jail, fined $400 and his driver’s license was revoked for one year.
* Lori Semerad, 45, of Dodge pleaded innocent to DUI-third offense. A jury trial was requested and a Feb. 3 pretrial conference was set.
* Amijo Smith, 43, of Fremont pleaded innocent to theft by unlawful taking, a Class I misdemeanor. A Jan. 29 pretrial conference was set.
* Kevin Soderling, 19, of Fremont pleaded guilty to minor in possession. He was fined $500.
* Joshua Spicer, 25, of Ames pleaded guilty to no proof of insurance and fictitious plates, a Class III misdemeanor. He was fined $100.
* Austin Toebben, 21, of Blair pleaded guilty to driving during revocation, a Class II misdemeanor. He was fined $200 and his driver’s license was revoked for one year.
* Brandon Ustohal, 26, of Fremont admitted to violating his probation for DUI-third offense. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and sentencing set for Feb. 10.
* Mauricio Valdivia, 17, of Fremont waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to Dodge County District Court for a Jan. 26 arraignment. He is charged with burglary, a Class III felony, and previously was denied transfer to juvenile court.
* Seth Verbeek, 21, of Fremont pleaded guilty to DUI-first offense. He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, six months of probation and fined $400. As part of his probation, he must attend * defensive driving class, a victim’s impact panel and a chemical education class. He also must perform 60 hours of community service and his driver’s license was revoked for 60 days.
* Daniell Wells, 27, of Omaha pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking, a Class II misdemeanor. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail and ordered to pay $1,090 in restitution.
* Dalton Williams, 25, of Ames pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a property damage accident, a Class II misdemeanor. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and sentencing set for Feb. 10.
* Bench warrants for failure to appear were ordered for: Natividad Chavez, 22, Sheri Ford, 48, Ronald Roberts, 61, Julie Severin, 41, Brian Thomson, 42, and Heather Martinez, 41, all of Fremont; Gary Blair, 56, Caitlyn Edwards, 20, and Scott Thomas, 27, all of Omaha; Galynn Canby, 21, of Lincoln; Dustin Cemper, 24, of Bellwood; Daniel Maddux, 47, of Mesa, Ariz.; Vance Morse, 31, of El Dorado, Kan.; and Tyler Olson, 46, of Dalton, Wis.
