A Fremont woman was treated and released from Fremont Area Medical Center after she drove her car into a window at the Fremont Family YMCA early this morning.

Fremont Police Lt. Glen Still said a car driven by Vivian Stoupa, 83, went through a picture window on the northeast corner of the building, causing $5,000 damage. Still said Stoupa’s car was totaled.

Still said Stoupa had pulled into the parking lot shortly after 4:30 a.m. when she hit the accelerator rather than the brake and went through the window.

No citations were issued and the YMCA is open.
