LETTER: Who do we go to for help?

By Floyd Griffith/Fremont

Do you feel that our lawmakers have a duty to protect their constituents from any harm? I tell you, they are not doing a very good job of it.

How does an illegal alien get a driver’s license? Your guess is as good as mine. Where are our lawmakers? Sitting on their hands waiting for the federal government to grant the illegals amnesty. Why is this happening? So that the party will get the 20 million Latino votes, and stay in power. There is no other reason. We are being held hostage by our own government.

Our local government will not help us; they had their chance, and muffed it. Thanks a lot. The congress will not help us. Homeland Security, what a joke, will not help us. Why do we pay our representatives so much and get nothing for it?

I feel that it is time to put them all on notice. If they don’t do something, their cushy job can be given to someone else. I don’t think they could do any worse.

I will not vote for any politician who votes for amnesty. Come on, our fine lawmakers, it’s about time for you to stand up for the people who voted for you, or have you already forgotten what your job is?

Oh yes, one other thing. When can I expect to receive my auto company stock certificates? I suppose dividends will be paid quarterly?

How do they (illegals) get a license? Easy. they go to another state, such as Michigan, where little supporting docs are needed, then they just take their Michigan license and get one from Nebraska.

How and why our government gives (illegals) a drivers license, I understand. How your ridicules article got into the Fremont Tribune is the bigger mystery.

i think i can clear this up very easily. for the idiots/morons of fremont who dont know that theres life outside of fremont please read this very carefully, maybe you will learn something, although i sincerely doubt that most of the people of fremont are able to learn anything other than what the "politicians" tell them. now read this very very slowly and see if you can get it. "IF THERE IS A NEED FOR ANYTHING, LEGAL OR ILLEGAL, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A SUPPLIER. DRIVERS LISCENSE, SOCIAL SECURITY CARD, BIRTH CERTIFICATES, DEATH CERTIFICATES, ANY KIND OF DOCUMENT CAN BE BOUGHT. i hope your people read this real slow so maybe it will sink into your heads once and for all. this country is loaded with corruption. wake up and accept it.

From your local Enabler:

How on earth did this ridiculous letter get published? It makes no sense whatsoever.

Its absurdity did make me laugh though.

Bring on the amnesty.

Wow, Floyd! I can guess by your name that you are elderly, but that doesn't mean you necessarily have to be narrow-minded. Why don't you grow up in your outlook and do your homework?! On one hand, you laud the local politicians and, now on the other, you let them have it! Try embracing the idea of diversity and stash the "hate" attitude.
You know, "they" are just not as BAD as you think. But, I know, they just haven't lived here long enough to be called, uh, uh, racist!

Well I guess Pami wants to embrace criminals under the guise of diversity. Ok - if someone steals your identity in order to remain in this country - we certainly don't want to hear you whining. It's all in the realm of "diversity". Wake up. A huge culture of illegal immigration is destroying our country and you want to embrace it as cultural diversity. The last I checked, we still have laws in this country and it is punishable by law if you break them. No matter what your ethnicity is.

Mr. Griffith you are now in a very select group of those that are considered worthy of gutless personal attacks. Since the nameless ankle biters assume you’re somehow too old to have an opinion I’d like to offer my own wild guess on your character. Since you are a neighbor I’ll guess you are a man with a sense of honor no doubt built during service to your nation or raising a family, likely both. I’ll bet you’re the kind of man that would step between an attacker and a stranger’s child. I’ll guess this of you because I’d like to think you’re the kind of man that is willing to stand by what is right. Mr. Griffith, I trust the collective character of my fellow Fremont residents over nameless attackers any day. Trust the public to decide the manner of man that appears more honorable in this debate. I salute you Sir.

Ask any newlywed female how she obtained a new social security card. My wife went to the social security office in Omaha a few months back. She simply filled out a form that she printed from their website, signed it and handed it to them. They never asked for a drivers license/marriage license/birth certificate. 2 weeks later she had a new social security card with her new name on it. If it's that easy to get a ss card, I could only imagine how easy it is to get a drivers license or any other form of i.d.

Personally I don't care if your legal or illegal, if you are driving on this country's roads I want you to have a valid driver's license and insurance which is the law. Do any of you want to foot the bill caused by an unlicensed, uninsured driver? Didn't think so. Some times common sense has to come into play.

to Andy Schnatz and all others:
believe it or not i DO tell the truth. i know there is life outside of fremont. i know corruption when i see it. i know crooked and dishonest politicians when i see them. i realize that most people who read these comments dont like me or what i write, but hopefully one day these people will wake up and see that what i say is the truth. the people of fremont need to go live in a big city like new york or chicago and see what life is really all about. stay there for a few years and see if yur attitude changes.

Nice one Nancy since uninsured illegals is a rampant problem. Keep talking, you're doing fine.

Yes Carl, from what I can see the editor lets the personal attacks go one way only. The Fremont Trubune seems to be the communities activist newspaper.
