Elizabeth, Andrew and Keith...you have been in my prayers constantly since my mom called to tell me. My heart is so sad for all of you and just for the void that is now left here. I have so many wonderful memories of Barb when we were all just little kids that will stick with me forever. She was a classy, beautiful lady and a true follower of Jesus Christ and she lived out her faith in such amazing ways, and in that there is comfort. She was a true believer and I'll never forget the things she taught me way back in 3rd grade Midweek School. We will continue to pray for all of you as you go through this valley. Blessings, Prayers and Love-

Dr. Rohwer and family;

We are terribly saddened by Barbara's passing, yet we take comfort knowing what a great Christian example she was to all of us as a teacher, wife, mother, and, for us, friend. We feel so fortunate to have known her and to know that she is now safe in His arms with no pain. Her faith, conviction, and poise during her struggle is a true testimonial and inspiration to all, Christian and non. Thank you for the opportunity to know her.

Keith, Elizabeth and Andrew,
All of us here at Arbor Day Farm extend our deep and sincere sympathy. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with Barb. Her kindness, patience and exceptional way with children made her an asset to our team. Her thoughtfulness, cheerfulness, and caring made her a dear friend. She was a model of grace, faith and family. She will always be in the hearts of our "tour team" and all those that she worked with at the Farm.
Please know your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,

Keith, Andrew and Elizabeth,
As the experience with Barb has been my pleasure, her blessings continue to fringe my life. I learned much from knowing her. Recently, I shared with Barb that she was a model of Grace, Peace and Compassion to me. Her constant loving charisma toward human life was often shown in her silent words; her gentle smile. Your sufferings are admired by many, as you each are also wonderful models of faith-filled strength. Prayers and praises are sent for Barb and knowing her! Tina

Keith and family,
I heard of Barb's passing. Mom kept me up to date of her health and I know she was ill for awhile. Yes, it's comforting to know she is in a much, much better place. She will be missed by the many lives she touched. Seems like yesterday you and her just started out. Our hearts go out to you. God Bless you all.

Barbara was a very special light to any who know her. I had the privilege of being her teacher for five years at Immanuel Lutheran School in Rising City, Nebraska. She was a joy to have as a student. Her family is one to emulate. Her Christian witness was so very much appreciated. Now she waits for us in that heavenly home where there is no sorrow or sadness. We, who remain on this earth have work to complete before we too are called home. May the Lord grant each us the comfort and assurance of our glorious reunion!

Keith, Andrew, Karen, Elizabeth, Pete and Grand Childeren,

Barb was such a faith fill lady. When Barb and Cindy talked, it was always about caring for others and how they were doing. Barb gave Cindy the peace that she needed knowing both were going through the same thing. I am sure they are both having a cookie and glass of Kool Aid in heaven.

Barb is now cancer free, enjoying the meaning of Easter. We all can take a note on how faith can take you through the toughest times. Yes she will be missed. Life is changed.....not taken away.

God's blessings and comfort be with you all.

Andrew,

You called us all together so we wouldn’t feel alone,

when we heard the news of losing one of our very own.

The Holy Spirit gave you the words to get us through.

You told us to remember that God’s promises are true.

Now as you struggle with the loss of your Mother,

May you hear Jesus say “I got her… I got her”!

God's Blessings to you & your family,

I am so sorry to hear of Barb's passing - I remember Barb from Midland Days when she was my sorority sister (PiEp) and worked for my Dad (Bert Means) in the Midland Lutheran Cafeteria where we had lots of laughs. I heard about Barb's illness from Marty Calhoun and I wish to extend my sincere sympathies to her family.

Dear Keith

I was deeply saddened by the death of Barbara and I know how difficult this time must be for you and your family. Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Barbara was such a kind person who was full of life and love for others. Her strength, courage and unfailing faith in God during her battle with cancer was awe inspiring.

As you know, Barbara has passed on to a better place now. You can take comfort and strength in that truth! In our short travels to South Africa with you Barbara and Elizabeth we saw first hand the love and closeness of your family. I know their love will get you through this sad time.

Keith, please know that although we are thousands of miles away, we are here for you to lean on and to offer our support in any way that we can. If you need some time to just get away, our home always has an open door. May God bless you and your family during this time and always!
Love
