Teen arrested for attempted sexual assault

Fremont Police arrested a 17-year-old male on Monday on suspicion of attempting to sexually assault an 11-year-old boy.

Lt. Jeff Elliott said the 11-year-old boy reported last week that he had been approached at Linden Elementary School by the 17-year-old, who then attempted to sexually assault him.

Elliott said the 17-year-old was charged with attempted first-degree sexual assault and placed in juvenile detention.
