Judge John Samson cited a man’s extensive criminal record before sentencing him to prison on Monday.

Ronald Nattress, 39, of Fremont was sentenced to 20 months to 4 years in prison for attempted burglary, a Class IV felony, in Dodge County District Court. Nattress also was ordered to pay $25 restitution.

After being sentenced, Nattress was asked by Samson about the way he was staring at the judge.

“Do you have a problem, Mr. Nattress?” Samson asked.

“Do you?” Nattress said.

Nattress eventually was escorted out of the courtroom.
