Teen treated and released after accident

A Fremont teenager was transported to Fremont Area Medical Center after her vehicle struck a utility pole Wednesday night.

Fremont Police Lt. Kurt Bottorff said 17-year-old Emily Gardeman was driving her car south on Lincoln Avenue when she crossed the street and jumped the curb, striking and breaking a wooden utility pole.

Gardeman’s car had $7,500 damage and there was $2,000 damage to the utility pole, Bottorff said.

Gardeman was treated and released from the hospital.

No citations were issued in the accident.
