Area players named to C-2 all-district team

Wahoo High School placed three players on the C-2 all-district softball team.

Sophomore pitcher Aubrey Voboril, junior catcher Paige Otte and junior first baseman Morgan Hancock were the all-district picks for the Warriors.

Pitcher Kelli Fisher and second baseman Kaylea Kult were selected from Yutan/Mead. Wahoo Neumann teammates Tessa Klein (catcher) and Tara Trede (shortstop) were also named to the squad.

Senior third baseman Erin Dunklau of Arlington, senior outfielder Merri Gross-Rhode of North Bend, sophomore pitcher Shelby Wobken of Logan View/Scribner-Snyder and Fort Calhoun second baseman Kylie Points round out the team.

Honorable Mention Selections -- Kayla Ambrose, Katie Johnson, Yutan/Mead; Emily Dahl, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder; Stephenie Dale, Fort Calhoun; Sydney Hancock, Mattie Murren, Wahoo High; Melissa Hilgenkamp, Kathryn Vampola, Arlington; Jordan Ickler, Morgan Maly, Wahoo Neumann; Katie Mann, North Bend.
