LETTER: This Republican is happy with the vote

As a registered Republican in Nebraska I am happy that the first stage of the Affordable Health Care bill passed. I am proud of those representatives who saw the need and are working to help the average American and I hope you will join them in the next vote.

It is unconscienable that insurance companies are charging so much and giving so little to so many Americans. I am thankful for the government plan with which I am insured - Medicare - and I trust that another type of public plan could do well for those who are uninsured. The people I talk to here in Fremont are in favor of a public plan like France, Denmark and other countries have. Our friends in Canada are thankful for their good coverage.

If you really want to represent the people in Nebraska and the US, do the right thing. Vote to help them, not to reward big business. Churches around the country today preached about justice - help us to share in it.
