Clinton Muller

Clinton J. Muller, 93, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., formerly of Fremont, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, at Saxony Village in Cape Girardeau.

He was born July 6, 1916, in Scribner to Adolph and Bertha Muller. He married Marjorie M. Morgan on June 29, 1941, in Sedalia, Mo. They lived in Lincoln for several years where he worked in the National Bank of Commerce. After moving to Fremont, he worked for Stephens National Bank and Midland Lutheran College as business manager.

In Sedalia, he and his wife were members of Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a registered member of Boy Scouts of America advisory Board of the Great River Council. He received the Boy Scout Silver Beaver award in 1984. He was awarded the Lutheran Boy Scout National Lamb Award. He was a member of the Sedalia Chamber of Commerce, serving on several committees. He was president of the Meals on Wheels program for several years.

He and his wife owned Donnohue Loan and Investment, specializing in real estate, financial investments and property management. He was a co-organizer and past president of the Sedalia Board of Realtors. He was a board member of the Salvation Army and president of the Sedalia Knife and Fork Club. His wife preceded him in death May 21, 2006.

Survivors include: a brother, Robert (and wife, Virgene); a daughter, Sara Bell (and husband, Dan); a son, Daniel Muller (and wife, Carol); and two grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

The funeral was held at Heckart Funeral Home with the Rev. Yvonne Marshall officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
