Finding the Look
Picks a dress that suits your style
Hustle and bustle. Stephanie (Zrust) Adams' wedding day.
But thanks to Black Tie and White Satin of Fremont, her day was right on course.
Adams said she appreciated the store's attention to detail as she mapped out the wedding day.
"When we bustle dresses, we make every girl a (design) map," said Susan Janssen, owner.
Capturing the Moment
Digital photography gives way to endless possiblities
The year of crazy eights. It's a big deal. 8-8-08.
"Aug. 8 is a Friday, that will be a popular date," said John Landauer of Landauer Photography.
Don't bet on finding a wedding photographer - unless you play your cards right.
Focus on planning ahead - and make sure the photographer is a good match.
It's a Matter of Taste
Choose the meal to add flavor to your reception
A carefully planned reception gives family and friends a time to celebrate the occasion.
Heartland Catering, owned by Sharon Janovsky of Elkhorn and managed by Becky Wieneke, encourages brides to plan their reception dinners one year ahead.
"It depends on the season, but typically about a year ahead, most brides start planning their catering service," Wieneke said. "Sometimes, if they call and say they are getting married in three months, we might have that weekend open."
Normally, lining up the caterer and food are among the first things brides do, Wieneke said.
