COMMERCE FAC Mission Statement: The Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce works to promote a favorable business climate for its membership and provide leadership to improve the economy and quality of life in the Fremont Area. Small Business Council We provide small business with a platform to improve the profitability of their businesses. We focus on networking, partnerships, mentoring, education and regulations and safety programs to help small business prosper. We also plan and implement the Fremont Business Expo. Employment Development and Education Council We promote workforce development between the business and education communities for the betterment of our schools and community at large. We provide education for small business and business development. Membership and Membership Services Council We provide each of our members a variety of services, attract new members and adequately inform them of benefits so that they may fully realize their FAC investment. We coordinate these efforts with assistance from directors and diplomat club to increase communications at all levels of chamber membership. Administration and Finance Council We maintain an efficient and cost-effective internal operation and competent and motivated staff, with a healthy balance between service and income. We monitor all budgets and review the Chamber Foundation. We review the President/CEO Performance Results Descriptions and Key Result Areas each month. Government Affairs Council We take an active and visible role in promoting legislation. We spearhead efforts to accomplish improvements in transportation, business, agriculture and economic development, assuming those actions are in the best interests of the membership. Agricultural Business Council We initiate, promote, implement and support programs which encourage the continued development of agriculture and agribusiness in the area due to agriculture’s signifficant importance to our economy. We also support the nine-county 4-H Fair and promote the Fremont 4-H Endowment Fund to help continue the fair far into the future. Many of the services provided are executed by volunteers. The red-clad members of the Diplomat's Club exemplify that spirit. The energetic public relations specialists assist with ground breakings, ribbon cuttings and other chamber events. Diplomats are essential liasons between businesses and the Chamber. And, as Fremont looks to the future, its task force explores the potential areas for growth both logistically and economically.
