Transfer StationThe recycling center accepts only these products:
No. 2 plastic soap jugs; 2-liter plastic pop bottles and clear No. 1 plastic containers; plastic milk jugs, tin cans; aluminum beverage cans; telephone books; newsprint; corrugated cardboard; and office paper. Transfer Station
If you’ve just cleaned out your attic or garage and are ready “dump” your trash, the transfer station is the right place. It is located at 1200 Hamilton St., east of Hormel Foods Corp.; 721-2346.All vehicles carrying refuse must be weighed both before and after dumping garbage at the transfer station. The scale attendant then will charge you for your load based on its weight.
Hours are: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday.
