ALFREDO SAUCE
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 stick butter
8 oz cream cheese
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese (I use the kind from the shaker)
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste (start with 1/4 tsp. each)
Dash of cayenne pepper (opt.)
In a saucepan, add cream, butter, & cream cheese. Simmer over medium heat until melted & combined. Add the Parmesan, garlic, salt, pepper, & cayenne. Simmer 15-20 minutes on low heat (Note: At first it will be a little runny. As it simmers, the sauce will thicken.)
Serve over fettuccini noodles.
